HEAR IT FROM ME

Hi! My name is Ivy and I am a young professional graduating in May 2018 with a degree in Business Administration and a focus in Communication Studies. My courses have helped me to develop a broad understanding of business as I have taken everything from consumer behavior to finance. At the same time, my internships have allowed me to niche down to various business models from value-add technology to luxury consumer goods. 

I have had many experiences in my life that have shaped me into a valuable team player. I have worked as an equal on many teams and have also managed teams. My most cherished team experience was a semester-long strategic assessment with four other members on the marketing, finance, accounting and operations of the publicly-traded firm Brown-Forman, where we ultimately had to decide whether to buy, sell or hold the stock. My team and I had countless large deadlines to meet, such as a 75 page paper and an hour-long presentation. We learned quickly how to efficiently meet these deadlines and work collaboratively together. I have learned to be a team leader through my position as the Recruitment and Marketing Vice President of my sorority. As a leader in my sorority and the manager of the largest team on the executive board, I have learned how to organize, budget, delegate, effectively communicate across small and large groups, retain harmonious relationships and harness the strengths of individuals as well as my own.
